This year’s theme ‘Empowering Businesses through Data’ brings to the forefront the immense value of data as a strategic asset, driving innovation, and empowering organizations to achieve new heights of excellence.

In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, data has become the cornerstone of innovation and business success. The NetApp Innovation Awards shine a spotlight on those exceptional trailblazers who have leveraged data to drive remarkable transformations, push boundaries, and create ground-breaking solutions. While data serves as a driving force, these awards celebrate the holistic achievements of organizations and individuals. It's not just about the numbers; it's about the creativity, resilience, and adaptability that data empowers in businesses.

NetApp Innovation Awards will be a platform to learn from the brightest minds, share best practices, and foster a community dedicated to unlocking the full potential of data.

  • Sustainable IT : To recognize organisations that have implemented innovative IT products/services to minimize the impact on the environment. These may include initiatives undertaken to reduce power usage, carbon emissions, use of sustainable energy, recycling practices, waste management practices, etc.
  • Innovation in Public services : To recognize Government organisations and PSUs who have introduced and applied new ideas processes, technologies, products, or services that brought positive change and improved the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of the Public Sector organization's operations and outcomes. This could include the adoption of cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), or other emerging technologies
  • Innovation in Cloud Data services : To recognize organisations that have implemented cloud data services as a platform to improve use of existing infrastructure which has resulted in an increase in efficiency levels. The initiative should involve leveraging the capabilities of cloud computing to create new solutions, improve existing processes, and enhance the delivery of services.
  • Excellence in New age Tech (AI & ML) : To recognize organisations that have successfully implemented machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), machine reasoning, smart robotics, generative AI, ChatGPT and industry specific AI applications to improve productivity and streamline operations to foster greater connectivity and reliability in a networked setting
  • Excellence in Open Source : To recognize organisation that have used 'Open source' technology to enhance its business operation. This can include adoption of this technology in various domains including operating systems (e.g., Linux), web development frameworks (e.g., WordPress, Django), database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), programming languages (e.g., Python, Java), and hardware (e.g., Raspberry Pi)
  • Data Visionary : To recognize participants that have looked at Data holistically and not in siloes to draw a unified vision of data driving their business. This could be across all aspects of data - governance, security, performance, and quality issues with respect to data. Data visionaries need to demonstrate how these initiatives have helped transform the organization and created new business models to address the needs of tomorrow. The participants also need to mention how these tools and/or solutions have helped in addressing customer needs, reducing costs and increasing efficiency levels across their organization. For example, how you have used data to introduce new products or services for existing customers
  • Excellence in App Modernization : To recognize participants that have used technology to update or transform existing applications to leverage modern technologies, architectures, and practices. Third party technology providers cannot participant in this category.
  • Excellence in Data protection and disaster recovery implementation : To recognize participants who have implemented innovative technology to prevent loss of data due to deletion, corruption, system crash, etc. The solution must revolve around safeguarding the existing data, ensuring data recovery in case of a data loss, automated data backups at regular intervals, etc.
  • Excellence in Cyber Security practices and Implementation : To recognize participants who have implemented innovative technology solutions revolving around protecting and safeguarding systems, networks and data from digital and ransomware attacks
  • Data Governance & Compliance : Participants that have implemented effective strategies for managing the organization’s overall governance, enterprise risk management and compliance with regulations in order to align IT with business objectives while effectively managing risk and meeting compliance requirements. Participants must have undertaken initiatives around data privacy, ITSM and compliance automation, etc.
  • Women in Tech : Women professionals who have made exceptional contribution to the field of technology and IT and have bought disruptive changes to the existing IT infrastructure of their organisation which has enhanced customer experience and led to business and revenue growth. Individual must have minimum 10 years of work experience in the field of Technology and IT and minimum 2 years of existence in their current organisation

  • Participants applying for NetApp Awards should be Indian entities
  • Organization must have completed at least 2 years of operations in India as on March 31, 2023
  • Organization implementing the solution / product / service / project / process / procedure / methodology etc. can apply for the Awards. External entities developing the solution for their clients cannot apply on behalf of their clients
  • The innovation can be a solution / product / service / project / process / procedure / methodology etc. and should have been implemented in the participating organization between April 01, 2021 to March 31, 2023, however, the impact demonstrated must pertain to the period from April 01, 2022 to March 31, 2023
  • Participation in NetApp Innovation Awards 2023 is subject to defined terms & conditions available on the website.

Women in Tech

Entries must be submitted in English Language only

Organisations with minimum two years of registered presence in India as on March 31, 2023 can apply for the awards Individual applying should have minimum 10 years of work experience in the field of Technology & IT and should have completed minimum 2 years in their current organisation The innovation can be a solution / product / service / project / process / procedure / methodology etc. and should have been implemented in the participating organization between April 01, 2021 to March 31, 2023, however, the impact demonstrated must pertain to the period from April 01, 2022 to March 31, 2023 The initiative cannot be work in process, it needs to be a implemented and participants should be able to demonstrate Impact of the same in the application form

Participant can apply for the Awards by completing the application form online Link to fill the application form will be available on the website To apply for the Awards participant should first go through the terms and conditions then click on the category you want to apply for and submit the application pertaining to the same

The participant can submit multiple applications if they are applying with different initiative in the eligible year. Duplicate application form will be disqualified

Up to three supporting documents can be attached to support the application form. Please refer to the formats and size supported by the website in the application form

Your application Form will first be reviewed for completeness, eligibility and adherence to the application guidelines, including character limit. Incomplete and ineligible applications will be declined without further review. Applications that meet eligibility criteria will be further considered for the jury rounds

There is no application fee associated with the Awards

Firstly, you need to sign up and register, and select category you want to apply for.
Secondly, go through the eligibility criteria and instructions for filling up the application.
Thirdly, you must save your application at regular intervals while filling the application since the website may get timed out after certain intervals and you will lose your data.
After submitting you can check the status of the application form by logging into your account

Post filling all the mandatory fields in the application form, you will click on “Submit”. Once submitted, you will receive an acknowledgement email confirming your submission

Once the application form is submitted you will not be allowed to make changes

Last date for receiving completed application forms is Nomination last date 25th August, 2023 at 4.00pm

The winners will be announced on the day of the award ceremony i.e. September 26, 2023

There will be one winner in each category. However, the Grand jury can select more winners basis their assessment and quality of entries received
